  Home Care Aide Program
HOME HEALTH AIDE / HOMEMAKER SERVICES

Home Care Aides are a valuable part of the home care team. We feel strongly about taking care of the people who live in our communities and improving the quality of life for our own neighbors and families. The GOAL of the Home Care Aide program is to assist individuals of all ages who are recovering from illness or surgery, experiencing long-term illness, or dealing with physical or mental limitations to remain safely in their own homes. Living at home can be less stressful, promote a speedier recovery, allow a productive life, boost morale, help your family stay close and be less expensive than staying in a health care facility.

HOME HEALTH AIDE SERVICES are provided by Medicare certified staff. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, they assist clients with personal care services such as bathing, shampooing, shaving, skin care, mouth care and linen changing. These activities must occupy the majority of a home health aides’ time in your home. The remainder of the time must be spent assisting with meal preparation or light housekeeping if these are assessed by the nurse to be necessary for care. Home Health Aides do not provide any heavy housecleaning. These services may be reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Private Fees and Grant Funding. Sliding fee scale services are available for those who qualify.

HOMEMAKER SERVICES are provided to a variety of people in Mills County and include environmental services as well as social interaction.
